February is upon us and after the year we have all had, we could certainly use some time out with our significant others. Considering Valentine’s Day is one of the highlights of the culinary calendar, we at Campus on Lake Austin have put together a list of favorite date spots for a wonderful meal. There are a variety of recommendations based on what you are looking to do on your date night.

Uchiko – Do you want to make your date a truly unique experience? Put you and your partner in your server’s hands for a Server Omakase. The staff trains for months to be able to speak to your specific palette and create a dynamic and delicious meals that you will remember forever.
Juliet Italian Kitchen – A perfect blend of ambiance and cuisine, this Italian gem is located right on Barton Springs Road, close to Zilker Park and Zach Theatre. You can make an entire evening taking in the best of Austin!
Olamaie – Southern comfort food at its finest. The biscuits are stuff of legend. In fact, they are so popular that in 2020, Little Ola’s Biscuits opened up in the restaurant to offer a takeaway option for these little delights in the time of COVID-19.
Emmer and Rye – This Rainey Street venue boasts a delicious Farm-to-Table Menu that changes daily,
Justine’s – A seductive atmosphere with French cuisine. It is perfect for a romantic evening with great food and cocktails.
Red Ash – Red Ash’s pride and joy is their custom-made wood-burning grill and oven, where they curate dishes influenced by Northern and Southern Italian traditions.
Eberly – Start with a cocktail in the Cedar Tavern, with a piece of NYC history at the center. The Bar was brought to Austin from Greenwich Village. Then, head to the dining room and enjoy the wonderful contemporary American dishes.
Fonda San Miguel – A true Austin institution. This Mexican restaurant is nearing landmark status in Austin, having been around since 1975. From its unique restaurant design to its authentic cuisine, this classic never get old.
Peche – While most people associate Peche with superior cocktails, as it is known as Austin’s first absinthe bar, the French cuisine is not to be missed. Master Mixologists work the gorgeous long bar and produce bespoke cocktails that would pair wonderfully with their distinct menu.
